We have an opening for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in our London office.
The HRBP will be responsible for several business units and be able to align HR and business objectives with employees and management. The position serves as an expert consultant to management and staff on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as a proactive employee champion and change agent, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs; they should demonstrate executive-level relationship building, experience in team restructuring, a solid track record in performance management and employee relations, and strong project and stakeholder management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead / Provide HR Support for the assigned Business Units
- Manage relationships with stakeholders at different levels
- Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Analyses trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of UK legal framework, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; partners with the legal where needed/required
- Provides performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Provides HR policy guidance
- Support with contract/offer terms for new hires, promotions and transfers
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; follows up to ensure training objectives are met
- Manage ad-hoc HR projects and performs all other duties, as assigned
Skills and Experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or commensurate work experience
- Minimum of 8 years' experience resolving complex HR and employee relations issues
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, organisational design and restructure
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment
- Partnership approach to working with hiring managers as trusted advisor
- Positive, up-beat demeanour with a “can do” approach
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a balanced, neutral, and fair approach to work, consistently establishing oneself as the trusted voice in the room
- Exceptional relationship-building skills
